Who I am

My name is Fiona and I have been diving since 1994 when I joined a local BSAC club, I progressed my trianing with the club and through the BSAC system and I am currently a BSAC Advanced diver and I have recently gained my OWI.

In 1997 I did the IANTD Advanced Nitrox course and I followed this in 1999 with a IANTD Gas Blender qualification.

My diving is what I would consider recreational depths and I rarely dive below 45m. I have recently become interested in underwater photography and I am keen to develop that this year in preparation for a special dive trip next year to the Galapagos.

I have been a member of YD since the summer of 2003. All my diving is now done with other members of YD and I enjoy overseas diving holidays. I have dived in the Redsea, Indoneasia, Maldives and Austrialia as well as a couple of dives in the Caribbean during non diving holidays.

In late 2006 I started to get interested in the DIR way of diving and decided to change the way I dived.  In 2007 I decided to take the GUE Fundamentals course with Clare Gledhill and I am working towards my rec - tec upgrade.
